Dj Mael - France
Farid Merbouche was born in France in 1974, preferring playing guitar than going to school, he started djing in Paris , from hardcore scene to trancecore in the 90's. Mael became here quickly one of the good names of the “Parisian” scene. Bringing his personality with a special technique of mixing Psytrance Vinyls, when DAT tapes were the only way to communicate this music…
After this relation with the dancefloor Mael investigate himself into the music production to finalize a dream: create his own music!
In 1996 , Mael created a band with Lestat aka Talamasca and christof drouillet , who was the half of the well known band Transwave , and who was just beginning his solo project called Absolum, to make together this incredible full on music under the name of 'Elixir'.
They decided together in 1998 to create a French label: 3D Vision arrived on the scene, and have been quickly respected all over the world , bringing Mael to play dj sets for the 3d vision in every possible corner of the globe like Tokyo, Newyork, TelAviv, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, India, and all Europe...
"Nomad", Mael's solo project, appears in 1998. 2 albums: 'Hyperactive' which was released in October 2001, and second: 'Mad attack' two years later in October 2003, both on the 3d vision label (plus a full discography in many compilations.)
After those two albums , Mael had left in 2004,the trance scene, to make an other label called Hoots records ; label more orientated in a lounge atmospheric music , with a fusion between electronic and acoustic instruments, but also much more various style like House, Trip-Hop,....the first release of this label , 'Electronic Summer in Corsica' , including his own production under the name "Nomadbrothers" , in collaboration with a panel of talented acoustic musicians, that is perfect for his personal style. This project is an opportunity for him to express an other side from himself to music ( to follow ...),
But in 2004, after 6 years in collaboration with 3d vision, 5 years under the name Nomad, and djing for 13 years all over the world, Mael take place with a different color of music, more positive and more groovy stuff, a Mix between his DJ Experience and his Musical Influences. A long work in studios, to reach a more sofisticated sound, and to give again some more emotions.
So, in the same time, with Talamasca, they decide to join their forces together for creating the new French label, "Mindcontrolrecords".
Talamasca - France
TALAMASCA is a solo project from Cedric Dassulle , a French dj who began to play in Paris in psytrance parties around 1992. The psytrance scene is not as powerful in France as it is in some other parts of the world where it is the mainstream music, like Brazil, Japan, or Israel.
That's why Talamasca, also known as dj Lestat, began in 1994 to travel around the world more than he played in his own country.
In 1996, he decided to make his own project, under the name of talamasca, and first released on an Israeli label called "krembo records". With the big success of his music, Talamasca was suddenly playing much more live acts than dj sets, and began to be considered as one of the leaders of the international trance scene. He decided to create in 1998 his own label called 3D Vision, which became quickly one of the leading labels of this style of music.
Nowadays, Talamasca is one of the most requested live acts in all big festivals such as full-moon festival, Samothraki or the boom festival in Europe, Eclipse, the biggest electronic festival of Canada, in the Chemical sound festival in Rio, in the Goa sound festival in Mexico, in summer arcade Fuji festival in Japan, and of course many more.
Talamasca has just opened in 2004 his new label, called "mind control records", based in Paris, and is now working on his 5th album, expected for December 2005.

Micky Noise started making music since he was 14. His first music influences were from the breakbeat and electro music genres. At 1994 he started making his first 20minutes live shows to different trance parties in Athens and in 1995 he founded Psycho Meditation.Micky as a restless spirit is burning with a continuous flame to make one's job better. At 1998 Micky founds himself in Thessaloniki where he met Uriel and immediately the two partners "clicked" together and decided to make something really good about the music they both loved. Thus Wizzy Noise sprang to life. Currently Micky studies the psychoacoustic impact of music to the human psyche and influences include Electro and industrial music. |
